Description
The Wooden Brat olfactory family is: Woody – Aromatic. Top notes are violet and violet leaf; middle notes are cedar and vetiver; the base notes are fir, musk and amber. Wooden Brat was born after having visited in the province of Lucca a centuries-old oak with a diameter of more than 4mt of trunk, a foliage of about 40mt in diameter, one of the largest in Tuscany. It is known as the witches tree, but legend has it that this oak is the one on which the puppet was hanged by the killers who wanted to rob him from the book “The Adventures of Pinocchio – Story of a Puppet by Carlo Collodi”. the birthplace of the mother of the writer Collodi is not far away. Visiting the place one perceives an almost magical air, a sense of well-being and serenity. The smell of oak wood is melted together with the floral of the spring violets that extend at the foot of the giant. All these smells and sensations perceived on a beautiful spring day, I wanted to include them in Wooden Brat
The production of this shaving soap involves the separate saponification of the oils / fats / butters according to their function, starting from the raw materials and therefore not using “semi-finished pellets”. Two doughs are created:
- the first mixture is the one that contains the fats for the foam and therefore the supporting structure of the shaving soap
- the second is the one that has the task of giving our skin all the nourishing and soothing benefits of fats.
Once the two mixtures are obtained, they are mixed for two hours in a sort of mixer at a controlled temperature and at low rotation speeds, to avoid any mechanical stress to the soap. All this procedure is done to respect the raw materials used to the maximum and obtain all the benefits on our skin.
List some properties of the fats used in this soap:
Olive Oil : 100% pure cold-pressed organic oil. Among the properties of this oil we remember the oleic acids that make the skin soft and elastic, and finally the polyphenols, natural antioxidants, which nourish the skin and protect it from damage caused by atmospheric agents and the passing of time.
Shea Butter : the butter used is of Premium quality, i.e. raw / raw butter from organic farming, is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E which fights free radicals and facilitates the micro-circulation of the blood on the surface of the epidermis, and vitamin A which prevents and fights wrinkles, but also eczema, dermatitis and helps to heal skin marks.
Coconut oil: the oil used in this soap is also obtained from organic farming, 100% pure and cold pressed. Its function is to soften the skin and help keep it hydrated, thus counteracting the loss of elasticity.
Cocoa Butter : the butter in question is a butter that has anti-inflammatory properties, is rich in fatty acids and moisturizes the skin.
Lanolin : it is a waxy substance with a protective action produced by the sheep’s coat, it has a high healing and anti-irritation power. Repair small cuts or razor abrasions.
Rice Starch : Often added to baby bath water to soothe irritation. Its main function is soothing and absorbing (it absorbs excess sebum, without being aggressive on the skin).
Rice Proteins : rich in natural amino acids that have a moisturizing and nourishing (both skin and hair), soothing, calming and anti-reddening action.
